bonuses = The Prix Jean Romanet is a Group 2 flat horse race in France open to thoroughbred fillies and mares which are four-years-old or above. It is run over a distance of 2,000 metres (approximately 1¼ miles) at Deauville Racecourse, and it takes place annually in August.

First run in 2004, the race was named in memory of Jean Romanet (1914–2003), a prominent figure in French racing. Romanet devoted much of his life to the "Société d'Encouragement", the precursor to France Galop, and was general manager of the organisation from 1961 to 1986. He also wrote articles on horse breeding for magazines such as "Sport-Complet", using the pen name "N. E. Marot". His son Louis Romanet is presently the chairman of the "International Federation of Horse Racing Authorities".

The Prix Jean Romanet is one of several races for older fillies which were introduced across Europe in 2004. These new events were designed as an incentive to keep more horses of this gender from being exported or prematurely retired to stud. Other similar races created at this time include the Prix Allez France, the Windsor Forest Stakes and the Premio Paolo Mezzanotte.
