Papa Westray Airport Airport codes|PPW|EGEP is located 22 nautical miles (40.7 km) north of Kirkwall Airport on Papa Westray, Orkney Islands, Scotland. It is best known for being one of the two airports joined by the shortest scheduled flight in the world, a leg of Loganair's inter-island service, to Westray Airport. [ [http://news.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/2006/12/orkney_hop_shor.html www.cheapflights.co.uk Orkney hop shortest scheduled flight in world] ] The scheduled flight time, including taxi-ing, is two minutes and the two airstrips are only a quarter of a mile (400 metres) apart (although in-air manoeuvring lengthens the flight.)

Papa Westray Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P542) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Orkney Islands Council). The aerodrome is not licensed for night use [ [http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/375/srg_asd_ordinarylicences.pdf Civil Aviation Authority Aerodrome Ordinary Licences] ] .
