Saeco is an Italian manufacturer of espresso machines and other electrical goods located near Bologna.

History

The company was founded by Sergio Zappella and Arthur Schmed in 1981.cite web|url=http://www.saeco.com/corp_gruppo_storia.asp|title=|publisher=Saeco International Group S.p.A.|accessdate=2008-05-04] In 1985 they launched the first completely automatic espresso machine for domestic use and in 1999 they bought the historic brand of Gaggia.
