Widows Creek Power Plant (also known as the Widows Creek Fossil Plant) is a coal-fired
power station at Stevenson,Alabama USA. The plant, operated by theTennessee Valley Authority , generates about nine billionkilowatt -hours of electricity a year. It has one of the tallest chimneys in the world (305 meters), which was built in1977 .History
Initially, six units were built between
