Shawnee Mountain is a ski resort in Eastern Pennsylvania located right outside Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania next to the Delaware River in the easternmost part of The Poconos. Shawnee Mountain has a summit elevation of convert|1350|ft|m and vertical elevation change of convert|700|ft|m|abbr=on There are convert|125|acre|km2 of skiing terrain. The mountain has a total of 23 trails, the longest of which is 5100 feet (1,554 m), and two terrain parks. The longest park currently has many features including rails, boxes, a set of stairs, and a classic Volkswagen Beetle. It also contains a halfpipe. Many do not consider it as such thoughweasel-inline, as its walls are not steep or high. The other park features boxes and rails. It has eight lifts, which include a fixed-grip quad, a double-double, three doubles and a triple. It also features night skiing and snow tubing. The mountain summit receives an average of convert|50|in|mm of snowfall each winter. The resort opened in 1975.
