Leonard Preyra(February 10, 1955) is a Canadian politician and member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, representing the riding of Halifax Citadel for the Nova Scotia New Democratic Party. He was first elected in the 2006 election in an open seat, defeating Progressive Conservative candidate and unsuccessful leadership candidate Bill Black.

Prior to becoming an MLA, Preyra was a professor in the political science department at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
