Infantry weapons of WWI

World War I started on 28th of July 1914 when Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. This was exactly one month after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary was killed by the Serbian rebels: "The Black Hand Gang." When Austria declared war, Serbia pleaded to their Russian allies for help, who declared war on Austria-Hungary. The Germans then, alarmed by the mobilisation of the Russian Army, declared war on Russia. The French declared war on Germany to help their allies, Russia, so the Germans invaded Belgium to get to France so the British declared war on Germany to help Belgium. There were then 4 years and 4 months of grueling fighting and horrifying war before peace was declared.
