Garrison Cadet College Kohat, is a boarding school, situated in Kohat, Pakistan. It is not to be confused with Cadet College, Kohat.

History

The college was conceived by Lt-Gen Arif Bangash, the then GOC 9th Infantry Division, Kohat. It was established as Kohat Garrison College. Land was provided by the Pakistan Army. Foundation stone of the college was laid on March 1, 1990 by the then Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. On Completion of basic infrastructure, classes were started in 1993. Lt-Gen Arif Bangash formally inaugurated college on May 10, 1993.

First Principal was Col. Idrees Niazi (Retd) who remained in college from September 1992 to December 1995. Brig Talat Imtiaz Naqvi (Retd) was second Principal from December 1995 to December 2001. Brig. Tariq Saeed (Retd) is third Principal of the college since March 25,2002.

Location

Garrison Cadet College, Kohat, is located on Dhoda Road in picturesque natural surroundings. There are lush green fields all around the college. The magnificent hills of Kohat and Orakzai, visible from the college in various directions, and grace to the college environment. The college is situated in vicinity of Kohat Garrison Golf club and Dhoda Park, presenting an attractive and elegant complex. The surroundings of the college campus are noiseless and are free from all kinds of atmospheric pollution. Thus Garrison Cadet College, Kohat, offers clean, healthy and invigorating environment to the cadets; most conductive for studies and physical fitness training.

Control and Management

Garrison Cadet College, Kohat, has been established by HQ 9th Infantry Division, Kohat. The College is under the control and management of a Board of Governors, headed by General Officer Commanding 9th Infantry Division. Tenure of each member is three years. The present management is as follows :-
