KTAS is a Spanish-language television station in San Luis Obispo, California, broadcasting locally on UHF channel 33 (analog) and 34 (digital) as an affiliate of Telemundo. The station is owned by Raul & Consuelo Palazuelos. KTAS can also be seen on repeater station K07TA in Santa Maria and K09UF in Morro Bay.

History

Channel 33 first signed on in January 1990 as as KADE, owned by the owners of KADY in Oxnard, California (now KBEH), rebroadcasting its sister station in Oxnard with the exception of nightly Fox network programming. KADE signed off in 1993.

Channel 33 returned to the air in 1997 as KTAS, a Univision affiliate. KTAS switched to Telemundo in 2001 when KPMR signed on the air.
