Laas (Lasa) (Italian: "Lasa"; German: "Laas"; Archaic (1143 AD): "Las") is a "comune" (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km northwest of the city of Trento and about 50 km west of the city of Bolzano "(de. Bozen)". As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,771 and an area of 110.1 km².All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.]

The municipality of Laas (Lasa) contains the "frazioni" (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Allitz (Alliz), Eyrs (Oris), Tanas, Tarnell (Tarnello), Tschengls (Cengles), and Parnetz (Parnez).
