The Singapore Sports Council (Abbreviation: SSC; Simplified Chinese: 新加坡体育理事会; Malay: "Majlis Sukan Singapura") was formed on 1 October 1973 as a statutory board of the Government of Singapore, established by an Act of Parliament under the SSC Act of 1973. It comes under the umbrella of the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, and is headquartered at the National Stadium in Kallang. It operates various sports facilities located all over Singapore, and its main function is to promote sports participation to all Singaporeans.

It comprises a Chairman, Deputy Chairman and between five to twelve other members from the public and private sectors. They are appointed by the Minister for a period of two years.

Singapore Pools is a major donor of funds to the Singapore Sports Council. Funds provided to the Singapore Sports Council are further allocated to various "National Sports Agencies" (NSAs) and other organizations. In this regard, Singapore Pools considers itself a "Partner in Sports".
