Camp Galileo is a Bay Area summer camp started in Palo Alto, California, by founder/CEO Glen Tripp, a graduate of Stanford University. The program combines art, science and outdoor enrichment curriculum with team-building exercises and traditional camp activities. In 2007, Camp Galileo operated 15 camps at various campuses across the Bay Area, and the company is planning to add new sites for 2008, including its first in Marin County.

Campers are grouped by grade level into teams of 10-16 that stay together throughout the week. Group names are: "Nebulas" (Kindergarteners), "Stars" (1st and 2nd graders) and "Supernovas" (3rd through 5th graders). The teams are led by a Team Leader, who guides them through each rotation during the day and provides support to instructors. Lead Instructors, many of which are classroom teachers during the school year, deliver all instruction in the art, science and outdoor activities.
