Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is an American writer whose parents were both émigrés from Nicaragua. He is known for his work on the comic books, "Marvel Knights 4", "Nightcrawler" (vol. 3), and "The Sensational Spider-Man (vol. 2)". Aguirre-Sacasa received his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University, where he studied playwriting under Donn B. Murphy. He then graduated from the Yale School of Drama in 2003 [http://www.prismcomics.org/profile.php?id=744 retrieved on March 7, 2008] where his play "Rough Magic", an interpretation of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" was produced.

Working Theater presents Roberto's newest play, "King of Shadows," which will have its world-premiere at Theater for the New City in New York City, directed by Connie Grappo, with performances running September 2-28, 2008.

He is the recipient of a GLAAD award.
