The Vagabond is a 3.7m fibreglass sailing dinghy is sailed in Australia and, to a lesser extent, in North America. It is often used as a training boat due to its simplicity but also has the option of a symmetrical spinnaker. It was at one time made by De Havilland Marine Yacht Division. The are a number of race events organised by the Vagabond Class Association including youth, state and national titles. This dinghy can be confused with the Vagabond 14 made by Hobie Cat and now called either a Holder 14 or Hobie-one.

Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club have purchased the molds for the well known and proven Vagabond 3.7 Sailing Dinghy and start manufacture in Noosa.
The Vagabond has been a favorite for family’s, Yacht Club Sailing Schools and Learn to Sail business’s across Australia for many years but buying new boats has been getting harder and harder which made Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club decide to buy the rights to the class and start production.
Known to be extremely stable with an excellent freeboard, the Vagabond offers deep sit in seats that double as buoyancy tanks and sails that can be lowered whilst on the water. The Vagabond has been proven to be the perfect ‘Learn to Sail’ and family dinghy that one person can rig, launch and retrieve.
