Una is a city and a municipality in Junagadh district in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Geography

Una is located at coord|20.82|N|71.03|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/9/Una.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Una] ] on Machchundari river. It has an average elevation of 14 metres (45 feet). Kodinar is located on the west side, and Rajula on the east side. The Union Territory of Diu is on the south side of the city.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Una had a population of 51,260. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Una has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 59%. In Una, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.Una is the biggest taluka in Junagadha district in number of villages. Some famous villages are:Garal,
Amodra,Anjar,Motha,Sultanpur. etc.
