Anúna

Formed in 1987 by Irish composer Michael McGlynn, this choir specialise in the performance of reconstructions of early Irish music. This repertoire is combined with McGlynn's arrangements of traditional Irish music and his own original work. The group first gained prominence internationally as the original singers in Riverdance in 1994.

Church choirs

Choir of Saint Thomas Church, New York

The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys provides music for five choral services each week at St. Thomas Church in New York City. It also gives numerous and varied concerts throughout the year.

The choir is composed of grown men, who are professional singers, and boy choristers, grades three through eight, all of whom attend the nearby Saint Thomas Choir School.

St Mary's Cathedral Choir, Sydney

The St Mary's Cathedral Choir is the oldest musical institution in Australia. In 1818 a group of choristers was formed to sing Vespers before the Blessed Sacrament in the Dempsey Household, the centre of Roman Catholic worship in Sydney as a penal colony.

Choir of St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle

The Choir of St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle has been in existence since 1348 and, with the exception of the Commonwealth period (1649-1660), has sung services in the Chapel continuously ever since. The choir comprises 23 boy choristers (5 of whom are probationers or training choristers) and 12 professional Lay Clerks, singing Countertenor, tenor and bass. The Choir sings daily during term-time.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is a large all-volunteer choir, the official choir (and therefore a part of) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church).

Nazarene Silvertones

The Silvertones of Barbados, (formerly known as the Nazarene Silvertones) are a recording choral group based in the country of Barbados. The choir is made up of about 20 members from across the island.

Choir of Leeds Parish Church

Leeds Parish Church, West Yorkshire, is the only non-cathedral church in England to have a daily choral evensong. The choir, established before 1818, consists of boys and men, and there is a separate girls' choir founded in 1997.

City of Dunedin Choir

The City of Dunedin Choir exists for people of all ages and from all walks of life from the wider Dunedin community who share a common delight in singing large-scale classical choral works to the highest standards. The Choir's membership stands at around 120.

Warrington Male Voice Choir

Warrington Male Voice Choir is one of Great Britain’s oldest choirs, tracing its formation to 1898. During its long history the choir has travelled widely and has performed in many famous concert halls and cathedrals throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe and Canada.

AMASONG is a GLAMA (Gay & Lesbian American Music Award) award-winning lesbian/feminist amateur choir based in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. The group was created by its founding director Kristina Boerger in 1990.

Mieskuoro Huutajat (Men's Choir Shouters) is an internationally famous shouting choir from Oulu, Finland. They were established in 1987 and originally comprised 20 shouting men, since expanded to 30.
