Brent was born in Las Vegas and attended Bishop Gorman HSl. It was here that Wilson met
Brendon Urie and offered Urie the opportunity to be a guitarist inPanic at the Disco . After some changes to the formation, Brendon Urie became lead singer, Ryan Ross was guitarist, and Wilson was the bassist. Wilson maintained the role of bassist in the band for a year, until his departure was officially announced through a message on the band's website on 17 May 2006, when he was eighteen years old. The other members of Panic At the Disco (Spencer Smith ,Brendon Urie ,Ryan Ross ), stated that the decision for Wilson to leave, was one that the four of them had decided together. However, Wilson said that the only person who had spoken to him was [drummer] Spencer Smith, and the call had come without warning. None of the other band members had spoken to him; he also stated, "They never even said they were sorry."Wilson expressed concerns about money, "We were about to start a tour where the band would've been bringing home around $300,000, or something like $50,000 apiece, and basically they kicked me out, so the question about money goes through my head a lot." This was rebutted by the members of the band, who deny that Wilson was fired for monetary reasons. [ [http://www.spin.com/features/news/2006/06/060614_panicatthedisco/ SPIN.com: Ex-Panic! He has since gone back to college. He now lives in a flat with his housemate Fred.
Brendon Urie stated in interviews about the subject, that Brent was "distancing himself", and also let it slip that "he didn't like the direction the band was going in". ( [http://youtube.com/watch?v=f-yzYfAF1ro Interview with Brendon] ) Drummer Spencer Smith claimed on the "Team Brent"
LiveJournal that Brent did not play any of the bass parts (and that Brendon recorded all of them). When asked about the lawsuit Smith said, "He was paid an equal share of all the tours he was on and, as far as I know, he’s been paid and is being paid all the royalties he’s owed." ( [http://community.livejournal.com/teambrentwilson Interview with Spencer Smith] )The lawsuit was settled out of court and Wilson has since admitted in Alternative Press that he is not bitter about the split.
