Refurbishment

The James Young High School is currently undergoing refurbishment, with McLaughlin and Harvey awarded a contract to carry out the work. The work officially started on May 6th and good progress has been made, with steel structures erected outside English and Maths and the bottom of the car park being torn up. It is due to be completed in September 2009, and the school will benefit from more classrooms, a social space for pupils and a dance studio and recording studio. This should cost around £19 million.
