All Blacks vs Springboks

The All Blacks (New Zealand) and the Springboks (South Africa) have been playing Test match rugby union since 1921 when the All Blacks beat the Springboks in Dunedin 13-5. There is considerable history behind the All Blacks-Springbok matches, much of it off the field. In 1981, there were protests in New Zealand over the Springboks coming to New Zealand with a basically white-only team. Up until the start of the professional era, the Springboks had won 21 tests to the All Blacks 18. In the 33 matches since the start of the professional era, the All Blacks have won 24 tests to the Springboks' nine. As the world's 1st and 2nd ranked national teams, a match between the All Blacks and Springboks is arguably considered one of the greatest collections of rugby talent on the pitch one can experience.
