Popkum, British Columbia

Popkum is a rural farming and tourism based community east of Chilliwack, British Columbia. The community is a part of the Fraser Valley Regional District and is named after a small First Nations reserve located on the Fraser River. The name is derived from the Halq'eméylem word "Pópkw'em" meaning "puffballs."

Industry

The area includes a variety of tourist attractions including Bridal Veil Falls, Cheam Lake Wetlands, Minter Gardens, and Dinotown.
