Su Maozhen (zh-c|c=宿茂臻) (born
30 July ,1972 ) is a former Chinese professional football player, who played as a forward, who is currently Assistant Manager of the Chinese Olympic football team.Su played mostly for
Shandong Luneng and was their captain. After winning his first international cap against Saudi Arabia on1 January ,1994 he went on to represent theChina national football team over fifty times including at the2002 FIFA World Cup .Early on in his career, he had two brief trial periods with
Manchester United in the 1989/90 and 1991/92 seasons, during which made a number of appearances for the Junior A team alongside future stars such asRyan Giggs ,David Beckham andPaul Scholes .In 2006 he graduated from the
University of Salford in the United Kingdom, having completed a Masters degree in Management. In November 2006 he was appointed as Assistant Manager of the Chinese Olympic football team by the Chinese Football Association (CFA) in their preparations for the 2008 Beijing Games.External links
