The Pensacola-Ferry Pass-Brent, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area is a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) consisting of Escambia County and Santa Rosa County in the state of Florida in the USA. In 2007 the population of the MSA was 453,451. Ferry Pass and Brent, which are unincorporated census designated places, were added as principal cities after the 2000 census.

The four incorporated cities within the MSA are Pensacola (Census 2000 population 56,255), Milton (7,045), Gulf Breeze (5,665) and Century (1,714).

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 412,153 people, 154,842 households, and 107,506 families residing within the μSA. The racial makeup of the μSA was 77.60% White, 16.50% African American, 0.93% Native American, 1.95% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 0.80% from other races, and 2.11% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.65% of the population.

The median income for a household in the μSA was $38,558, and the median income for a family was $44,319. Males had a median income of $32,966 versus $22,164 for females. The per capita income for the μSA was $19,365.
