Shakeaway

Shakeaway is a small chain of Milkshake bars based in the UK. Its first shop was opened in 1999. The company sells milkshakes made of ice cream, milk and a flavour chosen by the customer. Products made by Nestle, Cadbury's, Mars and McVitie's amongst others are used as the additional flavours.

There are also named milkshakes, made when employees of a store select a combination of two flavours. Customers can also add an extra topping to their milkshake for 30p. During the summer of 2007 Shakeaway introduced the idea of adding "additude" to its milkshakes, this is where a customer can choose to add Bran, Energy, Malt, Muscle Builder, Protein or Wheatgerm.

Since then the chain has expanded to include bars in Reading, Croydon, Kingston upon Thames, Plymouth, Bristol and Oxford. A new, franchised store was opened in Winchester on 7th October 2007.
