Kalyanmoy Deb

Kalyanmoy Deb, is a professor of mechanical engineering at IIT Kanpur. His research lab is one of the premier places for evolutionary algorithms research in the world. Deb's book 'Multi-Objective Optimization using Evolutionary Alorithms' [ [http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=kalyanmoy+deb&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Search Multi-Objective Optimization using Evolutionary Alorithms] ] has become one of the most popular and highly cited books in the field of evolutionary computation. Deb had been judged as the Sociometric Superstar of the evolutionary computation field Fact|date=July 2008 and has several honors to his credit, which include Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award in engineering sciences in 2005, Thomson Citation Laureate Award for his highly cited research in computer science during 1996-2005 and MCDM Edgeworth-Pareto Award for a record of creativity to the extent that the field of MCDM would not exist in its current form in 2008.
