CKIX-FM is an FM radio station in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, broadcasting at 99.1 MHz. The station is owned by Newcap Broadcasting.

Launched by CJYQ 930 Ltd. (a division of CHUM Limited) on October 15, 1983, CKIX-FM's original format was country music. In 1984, CJYQ 930 Ltd. and all CHUM Group radio and television companies came together as CHUM Limited. In 1989, CKIX-FM and CJYQ-AM were sold to the present owners.

After converting VOCM-FM to a classic rock format (K-Rock) in 2002, much of CKIX's audience shifted to the newly-formatted station, and as a result, Newcap converted CKIX-FM (it was for many years known as KIXX Country) to a contemporary hits station (Hits FM), and not long after managed to lure away longtime OZ FM radio host Randy Snow. The country music format moved to 590 VOCM.

The country format and "KIXX" branding was revived on CHVO-FM in 2008.

In late August 2008, the station began identifying as "9.1 Hits FM" (its actual broadcast frequency has not changed). The change appears to be temporary, a promotional stunt tied to an upcoming "Find the 9" contest. [http://www.bluekaffee.com/topicview.php?topic=84536]
