The Palp-footed spiders (Palpimanidae) are a spider family with about 130 described species in 15 genera.Instead of the normal six, Palpimanidae have only two spinnerets. Their first legs are greatly enlarged. [Platnick 1975] . All species produce ecribellate silk [Griswold "et al." 1999] . Palpimanidae have six eyes, a red cephalothorax, very strong first legs, which are raised while moving. At least "Palpimanus gibbulus" lives in leaf litter or under stones in dry soils.
