Charles Edward "Chad" Mottola (born October 15, 1971 in Augusta, Georgia) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who is currently the hitting coach for the Las Vegas 51s.[1] He is an alumnus of the University of Central Florida.

Drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1st round of the 1992 Major League Baseball Draft (5th overall), Mottola made his major league debut with the Cincinnati Reds on April 22, 1996. Mottola played in only 59 major league games in his career and is better known for his success in the minor leagues. In a 16-year minor league career, playing for 13 different teams, he hit .279 with 239 home runs and 995 RBI. He also had 1,806 hits and 180 stolen bases.

Mottola's final season was in 2007 with Syracuse, the Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. After the 2007 season, Mottola accepted a coaching job with the Gulf Coast Blue Jays. On October 6, 2008, Mottola was announced as the Blue Jays minor league hitting instructor for 2009.[2]
