The University City–Big Bend St. Louis MetroLink station, opened on August 28, 2006, serves the western portion of the Washington University main campus, Fontbonne University, the southern part of the Delmar Loop, and area residents. Located at the intersection of Big Bend Boulevard and Forest Park Parkway, this station primarily serves passengers arriving on foot or via a MetroBus Connection.

There is a Green Line Shuttle every 30 min. on weekdays which can be boarded right outside the station. It runs between Mallinckrodt Student Center and loop lofts via schnucks on olive blvd.
