Bisection is the general activity of dividing something into two parts.

Bisect may mean:

*bisection, in geometry, dividing something into two equal parts

*bisection method, in mathematics, a root-finding algorithm
*bisector (music)
*Genital bisection, in medicine the splitting of penis
