Shilka (town)

Shilka ( _ru. Ши́лка) is a town in Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia, located on the Shilka River km to mi|248 east of Chita. Population: 14,500 (2005 est.); 14,748 (2002 Census).

Shilka was founded in the first half of the 18th century and granted town status in 1951.
