Batote is a town and a notified area committee in Doda District in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, India.

Location

Batote is located at coord|33.10|N|75.32|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/12/Batoti.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Batote] ] . It has an average elevation of 2,006 metres (6,584 feet).

It is located on the National Highway from Udhampur to Srinagar. while driving from Udhampur it comes after the tourist spot of Patni Top, which is also its boundary with Udhampur District. After Patni top it is a sharp descent to Batote. Just before Patni top is the town of Kud. Batote has some agricultural land and is near the Chenab river.
