Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley Resort is a luxury ski resort located near the historic mining town of Park City, Utah approximately 36 miles (58 km) east of Salt Lake City. It has 22 chairlifts, 99 runs, and three day lodges. Deer Valley has 2,200 acres of mostly North-facing ski slopes. Lift ticket sales are limited to 6,500, capping crowds and reducing liftlines.

Deer Valley Resort is one of the few remaining ski resorts in the United States, along with Alta, Utah and Mad River Glen, Vermont, that does not allow snowboarders.

Deer Valley Resort opened in December 1981. It was one of the first ski resorts to offer ski valets to carry guest's ski gear from their cars to the slopes, to provide free parking lot shuttles, to uniform all its employees from kitchen staff to lift attendants, to refer to customers as “guests” as they would be called at a hotel, to provide complementary ski check even overnight, to offer pagers to parents with children in the Children's Center, so they can be reached at a moment's notice.
