Gautam Brahmins

Gautam (written in Devnagari script as गौतम) Brahmins comprise a sub-caste of Brahmins in India. They are originally settled in Brij region of North India. In broader sense of classification of Brahmins, "Gautam Brahmins" come under the "Gaur" subgroup. For details, also see Classification of Brahmins.
