Bayside High School is a four-year public high school located in Bayside, in the New York City borough of Queens, administered by the New York City Department of Education.

Its student enrollment is approximately 4,938, 43% of which is Asian/Pacific Islander, 21% of which is White (non-Hispanic), 19% of which is Black (non-Hispanic), 18% of which is Hispanic, and less than 1% of which is American Indian. cite web

elective programs

Bayside High School selectively admits students into three different programs. Its Academy of Visual Art & Design features courses in art history, fashion, painting, sculpture, computer graphics, drawing, photography, and commercial art. Its Academy of Music offers male, female, mixed, and concert chorus groups, concert and jazz band, symphonic orchestra, and more. These two programs at Bayside High School have earned it a good reputation in the arts. More recently, however, its S.M.A.R.T. (Science & Math Academy of Research Talent) program has demonstrated students' ability in math and science.
