Recorse Records

Recorse Records is an independent record label formed in 2000. It is owned and operated by Kyle Kumer in Kansas City, MO. It generally signs nationally in the US in the metal and hardcore genres.

More prominent than their releases, are the bands they've signed, who have had members go on to either sign to bigger labels, or join bands of higher notoriety. Or in the case of "The Tokyo Smash" put out a release that features former or current members of bands with higher notoriety, both of which are quite unusual in consideration of the small size of label they are.

As of Summer 2007, all of Recorse Records' bands have either disbanded, or moved onto other record labels. It is presumed that the label is now defunct.
