Liu Fu became very well known through the fact that he turned He Fei into a stronghold for enacting colonization, irrigation, and even the building of schools. According to the novel, Liu Fu was killed by the currently drunken Cao Cao due to discrediting a poem that Cao Cao wrote before the Battle of Chi Bi as being inauspicious.
