Cheongnyangni Station is the
Seoulterminus for passenger trains serving the eastern part of South Korea. The station is located just east of downtown Seoul, on the Gyeongwon Line.
Passenger trains serving the following
Koraillines terminate at Cheongnyangni Station:
Gyeongchun Lineto Chuncheonin Gangwon Province east of Seoul;
Yeongdong Lineand Taebaek Lineto Gangneung, also in Gangwon Province; and
Jungang Lineto Andongin North GyeongsangProvince and Busan, to the southeast of Seoul.
In addition, the station was the original eastern terminus of
Seoul Subway Line 1when that line opened in 1974. Today, subway trains operate from Cheongnyangni east to Paldang and west to Yongsan via Yongsan-Paldang line.
