History

Sascha Konietzko claims to have given Esch his nickname because the latter felt that his real name was inappropriate for the stage. It is derived from the German pronunciation of the first sounds in his name. Esch left KMFDM in 1999 and formed Slick Idiot with bandmate Günter Schulz. He has since begun working actively with Pigface again, joining them on tour in 2005. He currently resides in New York City, and is working on new Slick Idiot material and collaborating with German avantgarde vocalist Mona Mur for an upcoming release.
