After "Big Brother 4", along with other reality show participants, she appeared in the movie "The Scorned", which was aired on the E! TV channel and distributed on DVD. Landin played Sandra in the horror movie, about a group of young adults coming upon a house possibly inhabited by a (thought to be) dead woman. Previously, in 1998, Landin had a minor appearance in the film "Dance with Me" as a dancer. Erika has also appeared in numorus commercials, and has been on the cover of "Femme Fatales" magazine. Erika is now involved in casting and has cast Survivor 12-16, The Amazing Race 9-12Fact|date=July 2007 and just recently cast the next Bachelor. As of February 2008, Erika was engaged to Adam Gentry, a past contestant on .

Big Brother 4

Landin made her "Big Brother" debut in "Big Brother 4", dubbed 'The X-Factor' due to eight of the thirteen HouseGuests having an ex-boyfriend or an ex girlfriend in the House with them. Landin's ex-boyfriend in the House was Robert Roman. Landin was the most popular HouseGuest during her season, forming an unlikely alliance with the older family man, Jack Owens. Landin made it all the way to the final four but was eventually evicted on Day 69 by eventual runner up Alison Irwin and then became a member of the seven contestant jury. She voted for Jun Song to win the $500,000 prize money.

Big Brother: All-Stars

In the summer of 2006, Landin was announced as one of the 20 houseguests eligible to enter the "" house. On July 3, 2006, it was announced that Landin was the second woman voted into the house by the viewers. Early in the season, Landin was nick-named 'Amber Alert' after Amber Brkich from "Survivor" by her fellow houseguests due to her under the radar strategy. During the course of the season, Erika was nominated a total of five times, winning the vote over Diane Henry in week 4, over Marcellas Reynolds in week 6, over Howie Gordon in week 7, and over Will Kirby in week 9. (In week 8, she won the Power of Veto and vetoed her nomination by Janelle Pierzina [who had also nominated her in weeks 4 and 6] .) Landin also won the Power of Veto in week 2. She won her only Head of Household in week 8, although she had originally won the week 6 Head of Household competition, only to see the competition redone due equipment difficulties. Erika developed an intimate relationship with Mike Malin while in the house that he later dubbed a 'showmance'. Towards the end of the season, Erika found her fate in the house in the hands of Janelle, and despite the pairs animosity towards each other throughout the show, they agreed to team together in an unlikely final 2 alliance, resulting in Janelle evicting Will Kirby. However, the following week, Erika seemed to throw the third and final part of the HoH competition to Mike Malin who evicted Janelle, suggesting that Erika had never actually intended to go to the finals with Janelle. Landin managed to make it all the way to the final two with Malin, before losing the final vote by a margin of 6-1. Her friend and alliance member, Marcellas Reynolds was the only one that voted for her to win.
