Khurram Murad

Khurram Murad (also spelled Khurrum), a Pakistani Islamist, was a leader of Pakistani organizations belonging to the international movement of Islamism and a proselytizer of Islam in the United Kingdom. Born in the Indian state of Bhopal on 3rd November, 1932, he emigrated to Pakistan shortly after that nation was created from the partition of India in 1947.fact|date=May 2008 He was a disciple of the Islamist, Maulana Mawdudi (also spelled Maududi). He wrote dozens of books on Islam, Islamism, and contemporary issues faced by Muslims. He was, at various times, the leader of Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba, Pakistan and Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan. He served as Director General of the Islamic Foundation, based in Leicester, United Kingdom [Racius, p 126] .
