Pobjeda (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Пoбjeдa, English: "Victory") (MNSE: [http://www.montenegroberza.com/eMain.htm NIPO] ) is a Montenegrin newspaper. Having been published for more than half a century, it is the oldest Montenegrin newspaper still in circulation. Until September 1997 it was the only daily newspaper in Montenegro. It is also the only daily newspaper that is state-owned.

Since 1997, with its monopoly broken, Pobjeda's market share has fallen dramatically. The privately owned "Vijesti" and, to a lesser lesser extent, "Dan" took away a number of readers.Fact|date=February 2007

Today, "Pobjeda" is considered by some to be an inert pro-regime mouthpiece – a public service with no distinct featuresFact|date=June 2007.

By the tender's closing on March 4, 2008 no offers came in. In early May 2008, the government announced that it will open another tender by the end of May 2008. It also let it be known on the same occasion that in order to make the entity more appealing to potential buyers, it's considering writing-off Pobjeda's €2.2 million debt to the State through personal income taxes and contributions. History

The first edition of Pobjeda was released on 24 October 1944 in Nikšić as an organ of the National liberation front of Montenegro ("Narodnooslobodilačkog fronta Crne Gore"). In Nikšić, three more editions came out and then Pobjeda began to appear in Cetinje. The headquarters of Pobjeda was located in Cetinje until 1954, where it moved to Titograd (today's Podgorica). Pobjeda was a weekly newspaper until 1 January 1975 where it became a daily newspaper.
