Carolina Eva Izsák Keményfy is a Venezuelan beauty queen who competed at the 1992 Miss Universe pageant on May 8, 1992 and placed fourth after leading the competition that night.

Izsák was born in Caracas, Venezuela on September 21, 1971, to a Hungarian family. She was crowned Miss Venezuela 1991 representing the state of Amazonas.

She went on to represent her country in the 1992 Miss Universe pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand in May 1992, and was the apparent winner after placing first during the preliminary competition and winning the evening and swimsuit competition events on finals night.

When the pageant began, Izsák won all three preliminary competitions: swimsuit, interview and evening gown. Her 9.477 still is the highest shown combined preliminary score in the pageant's history. Her nearest rival was Michelle McLean of the African nation of Namibia, coming after the preliminaries at second place with 9.147.

During the live telecast, Izsák continued her impressive scores and won the Top 10 swimsuit and evening gown competitions. When the 10 semifinalists were narrowed down to six finalists, Carolina entered in first place as the woman to beat. In the next round of competition, the judges' questions, she was asked: "What would you like to know about your future and why". She stated that she did not want to know anything about her future even though she does project her life and tries to live every day as if it were her last. The jury did not give her high scores to make the top three, and Izsák finished in fourth place.

Her sudden and unexpected cut from the final 3 startled those who followed her around the world. The 1992 Miss Universe crown was ultimately won by the contestant who came second after her during the preliminaries, Michelle McLean, who became the first Namibian to attain the title.

Ironically, Namibia's McLean and two other semi-finalists, Lisa de Montalk of New Zealand and Anke van Dermeersch of Belgium, had competed at the 1991 Miss World pageant won by Carolina Izsák's runner-up in the Miss Venezuela pageant: Ninibeth Leal. After the pageant, Carolina returned to Venezuela, where she completed her studies in architecture and eventually got married. She leads a life away from the spotlights, is a mother and currently resides in the USA.
