Naranpura

Naranpura is an area in Ahmedabad City, in the state of Gujarat in western India.

It is one of the oldest areas of the ever growing Western part of Ahmedabad.

It is predominantly filled with Hindus and Jains. Most of the people inhabiting Naranpura are Gujaratis. A substantial amount of Parsis, Sindhis, South Indians, Punjabis and Christians also live there.

Located in western region of Ahmedabad, Naranpura is a residential area. A railway line passes by this place to form its boundary. Innumerable residential colonies dot this region of Ahmedabad.

You can take Gujarat State Transport Buses from Ankur Bus Stand to travel across the city. Ankur is especially famous for footpath food. Anand Dalwada, Anand Pizza, Chharbhuja Sandwich, Kaka's Vadapav, Jalaram Khaman, U.P.Chat are very famous along with jai ambe tea stall, which is very famous for its mint tea. This place also abides a famous Hindu shrine, Kameshwar Mahadev Mandir which is visited by hordes of people across the city.

There are two jain temples are also there and the area is full of jain community.Both the jain temples are very big and having a good religious value and so many people are visiting there during the paryushan parva. specially the devkinandan temple is very famous for its aangi during the paryushan parva.
