Pattabhirami Reddy Tikkavarapu

Pattabhi Rama Reddy Tikkavarapu, (b. February 19, 1919 - d. May 6, 2006) was a famous Indian writer, film producer and director.

He was born in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. He studied at Shantiniketan, Calcutta University and Columbia University.

He actively participated in the Emergency opposition movement, human rights movement, and child labour movements as founder member of Peoples Union for Civil Liberties. He also founded the organisation Concerned for Working Children (CWC). Pattabhi Rama Reddy died on 06 May 2006.

* Pellinati Pramanalu (1958), SriKrishnarjuna Yuddam, Bhagya Chakram as Producer in Telugu.
* Samskara (1970) as Producer and Director in Kannada,
* Chandamarutha, Shrungaramasa, Devarakadu as Producer in Kannada.


=Awards= Samskara was the first Kannada picture to win the National Film Award in 1971.
