Aaradhana (Aaradhna) Patel (born: December 1983), is a New Zealand, Award Winning, R&B/Pop, singer-songwriter, and record producer, previously under the NZ music label Dawn Raid Entertainment. She made her musical debut in 2004, under the recording company.

Nationality

Aaradhna is a New Zealander of Samoan and Indian descent. Her parents are Indian and Samoan, she also has part Moari in her.

Biography

Early Years

Aaradhna first showed singer aspirations at the young age of 12 singing along with her mother to traditional Samoan and country songs. When her father was home she would try to imitate the songs she heard with her dad on Bollywood movies, even though she couldn’t understand what they were saying. Aaradhna began writing her own songs at the age of 13; she entered her first talent quest the same year making it in to the finals. Soon after she joined the school choir at Porirua College and then deciding to take her dream further, she went on to form a five piece girl group called “Lovera”. Her mother is of Samoan descent and her father is Indian.

Career

Her debut album I Love You entered the top 20 RIANZ chart and has various songs featured on feature films including the top 5 single They Don't Know Featuring New Zealand and Australia hip-hop star Savage.

Aaradhna released a song alongside Australian producer and artist Paul Mac in late 2006 titled Love Declaration which is a club inspired song. The song features on Mac's album Panic Room. In Australia the single reached #31 on the local charts. Aaradhna now resides in Los Angeles writing and recording with new producers. Her new album Sweet Soul Music a throw-back to the soul classics including The Jackson 5 cover of I Want You Back was released on iTunes and various music stores in New Zealand on February 14th 2008 coinciding with Valentines Day.
