Crowley was first elected to the
6th Dáilin the September 1927 general election and was re-elected at the next seven general elections, and died in 1945 while still a TD.
After his death, the
by-electionin Kerry South on 4 December 1945 was won for Fianna Fáilby his widow, Honor Crowley.
