East Staffordshire is a local government district with
boroughstatus in Staffordshirein England. It has two main towns, Burton upon Trent, famous for its breweries, and Uttoxeter, for its racecourse.
Villages in the area are
Tutbury, Barton-under-Needwood, Rolleston on Dove, Hanbury, Doveridge.
The borough was formed on
April 1, 1974by the merger of the former county boroughof Burton upon Trent with Uttoxeter urban district and Tutbury Rural Districtand Uttoxeter Rural District.
