Áine Brady

Áine Brady, "née" Kitt (born 8 September 1954) [cite web |url=http://oireachtas.ie/members-hist/default.asp?housetype=0&HouseNum=30&MemberID=2156&ConstID=116 |title=Ms. Áine Brady |work=Oireachtas Members database |date= |accessdate=2008-01-04] is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician and teacher.

Áine Kitt was Fianna Fáil's youth organiser in the early 1980s, and a member of the party national executive. Her first electoral outing was in the 1981 election to the 15th Seanad, when she stood unsuccessfully on the Cultural and Educational Panel. She is currently a Teachta Dála (TD) for Kildare North. She was an unsuccessful candidate for Dáil Éireann in the Kildare North by-election in 2005, but won the seat at the 2007 general election.

Brady is the sister of former Fianna Fáil chief whip Tom Kitt and of Minister of StateMichael Kitt, Jnr, and the daughter of former TD Michael Kitt, Snr. She is married to former TD Gerry Brady and has four children.
