Worminghall is a
villageand also a civil parishwithin Aylesbury Valedistrict in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located near the border with Oxfordshire, about three and a half miles west of Thame.
The village name is Anglo Saxon in origin, and means 'Wyrma's nook of land'. In the
Domesday Bookof 1086the village was recorded as "Wermelle". There are some scholars who suggest the village name actually refers to a wyrm, or dragon.
