nickname = Simon Gamache (Born January 3, 1981 in Thetford Mines, Quebec) is a professional ice hockey player playing for SC Bern of National League A in Switzerland.

After a junior career spent with the Val-d'Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in which he won multiple awards including the Ed Chynoweth Trophy, Jean Béliveau Trophy, CHL Player of the Year, Michel Brière Memorial Trophy, CHL Top Scorer Award, CHL Humanitarian of the Year, and Guy Lafleur Trophy, Gamache moved up to professional hockey. He has played for the Atlanta Thrashers, Nashville Predators, and St. Louis Blues. He played for the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League in the 2005–2006 season. In the 2006–2007 season, Gamache was playing in the Swiss League for SC Bern. For the 2007–2008 NHL Hockey Season, Simon Gamache has signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Gamache scored his first goal as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, October 11th against the New York Islanders.

On January 5, 2008 the Maple Leafs put Gamache on waivers, ending his NHL career with the team. A few days later Gamache signed a 3 year contract with HC Bern in Switzerland.
